Is there anything sexual involved or is it completely sterile? What is considered appropriate for premarital Christian couples?
I'll try to remain strictly Biblical...
First thing we must note is that the culture of dating, petting, heavy petting etc prior to marriage was not common 2000 years ago. Accordingly wee shouldn't be surprised that the Bible doesn't list a set of activities that are and aren't appropriate.
One thing we do know is that dating should be a pre-cursor to marraige and so if after a few dates you are not convinced that the relationship is likely to go in this direction then you are best ending it there and then.
One thing we do know is that fornication (pre-marital sex) is a definite no-no for Christians for the sex is a symbol of the union between man and wife and therefore should be reserved for within marriage. This is the only thing that is stated as a 'law' within the Christian faith.
Short of this we have to ask:
1) Is it wise to put temptation in your way? Therefore are you wise to spend time alone with a girlfriend in your bedroom? Not sinful but perhaps not wise...
2) Are you also wise to push things to the limits? While oral sex is not expressly mentioned your view of sexual union must include an understanding of such actions. Do you believe that they are an aspect of sexual connection or not - if you do not then you must also realise that the Bible says on homosexuality only that the sexual act of anal intercourse is wrong. Accordingly two men can be fine so long as there is no intercourse (all other acts are peachy). And there is no problem with two women as there can be no such intercourse.
Some people set themselves laws for what they will and won't do before they are married. This might seem good but perhaps it is not wise especially given Jesus advised us not to make vows for our sinful nature only encourages us to break them. Rather we should weigh each decision and work out our own faith with fear and trembling before a holy God.
My personal opinion: all sexual intimacy should be reserved for marriage.
I see no need to kiss in lingering and sexual ways as part of determining whether you desire to marry a certain person. I'm not saying it is wrong, only I do not see that it should be part of a decision to marry or not. Feel free to do it or to abstain from it. It is a long way removed from sexual union but ask yourself this - if you saw your girlfriend doing it with another person would you consider them to be cheating on you? If so then perhaps it is a sexual act and should be reserved for marriage... But only perhaps... I cannot tell you that you have sinned if you do it...What is considered appropriate for premarital Christian couples?
I'd say it would be for them to avoid making ';promises about what they wouldn't do'; before they actually have a concept of the urges that the gods built into them. Otherwise it seems that they are just heading for a massive guilt-trip which accomplishes nothing useful.
And a lot of them end up ';preggers';, just like Palin's daughter. Keeping ignorant of the mechanics, doesn't protect one from the urges, and frankly makes them sitting ducks for it.
This is a hard question to answer.
It is said in the bible that masturbation is ';wrong'; that it's better to ejaculate in the belly of a prostitute. But in my opinion it should be vice versa. LOL I remember in my church going days when that scripture came up over half the guys in the room's face turned bright red and they were scared they were going to hell!! That was kinda funny!
If you're asking because you truly want to know then ask your pastor.
If you're asking because you want other people's opinions.... my opinion is what ever feels right in your own heart, and everyone is different. What is right for you isn't right for someone else.
If you're asking for a Christians point of view.... I can't help you here.
Uhhhh........do you know what the word ';sterile'; means?
(If English is a second language for you, I mean no disrespect. But you appear to have a misunderstanding about the meaning of the word.)
i would say anything considered affection (kissing/hugging) is ok,but anything sexual would probably be shunned upon (eg oral sex or masterbation between 2 people)
Dating, hugging, kissing, building the relationship. Sex should happen on the wedding night, or the morning after if they're too tired.
Has fornication not been allowed?
I don't know. Maybe you should email Sarah Palin
anal sex
It's whatever you want it to be.
Nah hump away. Who cares what Papa Smurf says?

If fate and destiny really occur, why couples have to be separated?
If there is existense of fate and destiny, why couples have to separated?Wouldn't afte and destiny means love is forever? If fate and destiny really occur, why couples have to be separated?
Fate and destiny are just words put to things to remove the fear of the chaos of living. Give a thing or happening a meaning and it becomes comfortable. Random is chaos, chaos scares the human mind.If fate and destiny really occur, why couples have to be separated?
Fate and destiny is a way of off-loading your decision making and responsibility.
Like inkgdds wrote, it gives a comfortable meaning to things.
LOOK DEAR,fate and destiny do exists especially in case of marriages but not in all the cases. most of the times it is the outcome of our deeds.DO GUD,U WIL GET THE GUD,MAY BE LATER OR SOONER,DATS SURE..if a person is true to heart,he wil never worried about his fate, bcz he knw that nthing wil happen to him as he never did anythng wrong to anyone willingly..ABOUT COUPLES,I CAN SAY,its the mutual understanding that really matters neither faith, money ,status or anything else..we cant put everything on faith,we have to do some efforts ourselves. A LITTLE BIT FAITH,A LITTLE BIT OUR EFFORTS,A LITTLE BIT PRAYER N A FULL HONESTY mks the basis of true relationships
If you believe in fate/destiny then it only follows that you believe that if you're separated, it's meant to be. As in, because you were separated from your partner something else is going to happen in your life because of fate. Maybe it's not as simple as that though. How about our choices, the choices of others, other people's actions, our environment, etc, etc.
Well.. the two terms is actually how you view it.. fate and destiny is something that's bound to happen no matter what.
For Example..I ate a watermelon %26lt;-- it was fate because I love watermelons and i was gonna eat it anyway.. and its the destiny for watermelons.. FILLIN MY STOMACH :D

What is the method that Jewish Orthodox couples date and the courtship process?
In what ways does it differ from ';regular'; non-orthodox dates? Is there a difference when those in 40's dating vs. younger couple in their 20's?What is the method that Jewish Orthodox couples date and the courtship process?
In general, since boys and girls do not mingle, prospective matches are suggested by a third party. This can be a relative, a friend who has a cousin, a parent's friend who knows another friend's child, or a professional matchmaker, or ';shadchan'; in Hebrew. A match is called a ';shidduch,'; and a person who is interested in getting married through this system is said to be ';in shidduchim.';
In my case, a cousin of mine was at a Shabbat meal with an unattached eligible young man, thought of me, and as they say, the rest is history.
For young daters, just ';on the market,'; usually the parents handle the dating process. Protocol states that the match be suggested to the boy's side first. The parents will listen, call the references, call other people who might know the girl or her family, and discuss with their son how to proceed. Once the boy's parents give an affirmative answer, the matchmaker calls the girl's parents and presents the boy and all his information to them. The same thing happens with the girl and her parents, and when the answer is yes, they are interested in meeting each other and a date is set up.
Basic information includes looks, schools attended, future plans, family background, siblings names and schools attended(ing), personality, job, etc. This way one can be sure that the prospective couples are on the same page and are looking for the same thing out of life before they become emotionally involved.
Sometimes the boy will call the girl to set up a date, but I always preferred to have the matchmaker set up the date and not to speak on the phone before meeting the boy.
A date is considered formal, and most boys will show up dressed in a suit and tie (and hat, if they are more religious), freshly shaven and showered. The girl usually spends hours getting ready. I have a friend who gets her hair done for each date.
The boy will often rent a car to impress his date, and will show up at her parents' home, or at a prearranged place. The girl's parents usually like to meet the boy first, spend a few minutes talking and getting to know him, while the girl finishes up her last minute preparations. Then she makes her appearance, they say goodbye to her parents, and go out to his car.
This is the first chance they really get to speak to each other privately (assuming there was no phone call), but they usually spend the first half hour to an hour warming up, talking about mundane things, camp experiences, school stories, learning partners, etc. Sometimes they don't even talk about the future on the first date - they just try to see if they get along, like each other, and have potential to continue. For a first date, a lounge or hotel lobby is usually the norm.
I must note that there is no touching whatsoever - that has to wait until they are actually married. This ensures that a decision can be made clear-headedly, without emotions getting in the way.
After 2 - 3 hours or so, the boy will drive the girl back to her house. They will both think over the date and decide whether or not they would like to continue seeing each other. I never said no after a first date unless I really had a reason to, and most people won't either. It's hard to tell things about a person after just one evening together, especially if you didn't even talk about anything marriage-minded. When they have an answer, the boy's side calls the matchmaker and lets him/her know, and the matchmaker calls the girl's side to hear their answer. If they are both willing to continue, the matchmaker sets up another date.
This pattern continues, until around the fourth or fifth date, when the couple feels comfortable enough to set up their own dates. Phone numbers are usually exchanged, and the couple now speak on the phone in between dates as well. By this time, the dates take place at restaurants, at baseball games, at bowling alleys, or anyplace one can have a good time and still ';spend time'; with someone. There is still no touching at all.
If everything goes well, and the couple decides they have potential to make a good home together, the parents will usually meet to discuss financial arrangements. If everything is satisfactory, often all that is left is the proposal! Once that happens, it's ';L'chaim!'; and the engagement is made public.
During the engagement, the couple will usually see each other once or twice a week, and speak on the phone slightly more often. It is difficult to see and spend time with the person you are going to marry and not touch each other, so engagement periods are usually kept short.
The couple don't see or speak to each other for the entire week preceding the wedding.
For older couples, in their 40's or so, it is acceptable to meet at social events, or to be introduced by a mutual friend rather than through the shidduch system. At this point, they are considered old enough to know what they want and usually handle the reference-checking and suggestion-wielding on their own. What is the method that Jewish Orthodox couples date and the courtship process?
