If I was going to north america somewhere for uni, and my boyfriend was going to Australia, is it likely that we will break up?

Most of them do. Because high school relatioship is much of a Physical relationship. Kids don't really have enough sense to make their own choice and decisions. Whatever they did during HS turns out to be not so good during college years.

there's no way of knowing. My husband and I were high school sweethearts and lived away from each other for 1 year, but we found time to talk to each other while playing games on yahoo like Literati. We had been together 2 years in high school, and got married after being together for 4 years... we just celebrated two years of marriage, so long distance relationships can work, but don't force them. You two are young and what will be will be, everything will work out in the end.
