How to increase club participation with Couples?

I am a president of a club in college. Just like any other club, our main problem is member participation. At the start of each quarter, the other officers and I agree on a list of activities.

However, most of these officers also rarely participate in the activities themselves even though they said they would.

Unlike me, most of the officers and members have boyfriends and/or girlfriends, (who are also members of the club). This creates a problem because these people will not participate unless their other half is present (or vice-versa).

I tried to have more community service activities this year, but that is not really well-received. Of course, mention clubbing, alcohol or party, then they will participate!! (Alcohol, clubbing, and partying is not permitted on campus).

Maybe I can suggest activities that will be more appealing to them. However, the officers usually agree on whatever activity I suggested and promise to participate!!!

I have no idea what to do?How to increase club participation with Couples?
You sound like you try very hard to help others enjoy themselves and to help the college. Maybe you should just forget about them and the college and live your life thinking about what might make you happier. Don't waste time on others if you get lousy feedback and lack of participation.
