I don't know if this is the sort of thing you're looking for, but I did this with my boyfriend over spring break when we were apart. The movie Watchmen had just come into theaters, and we decided to read the book together, and see the movie at the end of the vacation. It's a great book, it's romance and adventure/action.
Kama Sutra (it will bring you closer together lol)
