they feel threatened somehow, becasue their worldview isw limited by irratinal thought brought on by too much reliance on religion and lack of understanding and willingness to apply the scientific and rational thinking skills they were all taught in school.
not only that, they can't even practice such biblical maxims such as ';turn the other check';. ';lest not ye judge ...'; in the show of compassion.
but it doesn't take much brains to feel safety in numbers, and it is easy for that to turn into oppression in a closed environment.

I think the real issue may be a little different then you may be aware of. Why do not make it legal to have sex with a 3 year old? It is because it is a immoral. That is really why we do not condone marriage between same sex couples. It be immoral. Think about the message you are sending to children. Can you see it. Son we don't lie because it is wrong. (moral) But it is ok to sick you willy up Billy. (Immoral)
In other words parents do not want there children messed up. Can you blame them. After all they love there children. And as Marriage was created by God not man and God made it between one man and one woman. That is the natural order of things. Also there is the fact that gueers, gay, lessies or pervs however you want to call it is even a sin against nature itself why would any one think that is worth honoring in any manner. I sure am not going to indorce it as a lifestyle. And I call it the way it is, perverted.
I've heard the argument that it will 'ruin' the constitution of marriage. I think we've already ruined that. With our divorce rate over 50% and climbing..I think we've ruined the sanctity of marriage all by ourselves. Heck, if we can't achieve it, let someone else try! LOL....
Personally, I think they should be allowed to marry. It doesn't affect me, but it affects them. It would allow them to be present in the ICU if anything happened to land one of them there. It would allow them to inherit their partners belongings if one of them dies. Why shouldn't they have the same rights?
They are confusing legal marriage with religious marriage. By their religion, even if they dont activly practice, homosexuality is wrong, horrible, and marriage is between a man and a woman.
These people think that the homosexuals are asking them to approve of it morally or religiously.
When in fact, the fight has nothing to do with morals or religion. They are not asking anyone to approve of it. It is not a religious fight to them.
Legal marriage is not about love God the church or religion. It is about the right to share health benefits, automatic legal next of kin, file taxes together. And if you ask any of them, those are the things they will tell you they are fighting for, not religious acceptance.
I don't get it either... kind of a non issue to me. Not like forbidding them from marrying someone is going to stop them from being gay.

Because they will not stop until they're religion is part of the government. By they way, if they use the bible to back it up it, the same chapter(Leviticus) that discuss same sex marriage also discusses subjects such as how to sell your doughtier, and about why your hair must by long.
I totaly agree with you, what is so terribly wrong with it? Straight people know how wonderful it feels to be in love and be married, so then why do some people feel that gays shouldn't have that same wonderful feeling? It's discrimination! Just let them live their lives and love freely! It just urks me so much!
It's a control issue.
These are people that can't get their own act together and they substitute trying to tell everybody else how to live their lives instead.
We've had same-sex marraige in Canada for 5 years now.
The world didn't end.
Marraige didn't lose any of it's meaning.

I don't care about the unions and getting the same benefits as dif-sex couples. i just care about if they try suing churches because the religion doesn't support the government's decision.
They hurt nobody with that, except if they claim polygamy
the major thing is the bible dosent accept it . so dont you think that if a priest marries same sex couples he dosent read the bible and he dosent no what the hell hes doing?
