What kind of discrimination do interracial couples face?

Anyway, i want to understand what some interracial couples go through. What kind of discrimination do interracial couples face?
Really, it depends on where you live at... I was raised in an inter-racial family in Texas and we had it pretty bad and have been in an inter-racial marriage for most of my adult life. I am in the Navy, so have had the chance to live or visit all over the country and honestly it varies greatly depending on what part of the country you live in...up north and big cities tend to be more tolerant than the south and rural areas...Friends and family weren't a big deal because we both come from multi-racial families, but know that has been the biggest point of conflict in a lot of relationships. As far as society as a whole, it has gotten a lot better over recent years, but you still have people that will look at you funny or whisper nasty stuff...luckily I am 6'4'; 270, so not a lot of people will say anything to me personally. And it comes from both sides...white and black. In a white man/black woman relationship like mine, black men usually have the worst time with it. With Black men/white women...it is usually white men and black women that have the most negative to say. Because we live in a large Navy city, we have so many people from a variety of backgrounds and tend to be more tolerant.What kind of discrimination do interracial couples face?
I've dated white guys and people would always stare at us. Nothing more. I'm sure if I lived in a racist neighborhood then I would probably have to deal with some discrimination. Come to think of it when there's a guy and girl together people usually look at them. I've never dated a black guy but I'm sure if I did people would look at us too. I don't think it matters what race your boyfriend or girlfriend is. I think people just stare at other people all the time out of curiosity.

My whole family is interracial and if you don't put your hands on us we could care less.
