How can i write a report on whether or not same sex couples should be allowed to marry?

I have to write a 3-5 page report on this topic but I am having some difficulty with this because I have not found any unbiased websites that provide information that will be useful to me. If someone would please help me develop main topics for an outline, it would be greatly appreciated. How can i write a report on whether or not same sex couples should be allowed to marry?
If you are in college, you almost certainly have access to databases of academic journals. The articles in these journals are peer-reviewed, and are only published if they are credible (what I mean by this, they will need FACTS in order to support their thesis). Call your school library and ask about it. You can search journals by keyword and other criteria. You can not find these journals for free online. Usually people purchase paid subscriptions to these journals, but university students are most often able to access them for free. I was able to go to my university library's website and enter my student ID, so instead of researching in the library, I could search in the comfort of my own room.

Find journals about the relationships of same-sex couples. How long do they stay together? Also, the division of chores in same-sex households are usually more equally distributed than in heterosexual households. You might want to look into this. Look into the statistics of same-sex couple cohabitation and see if same-sex couples experience less physical abuse (ie: one partner abusing the other partner). As you read the journals, you will find many other good things to put in your paper.

Try to find a sociology textbook, an introductory one is good but one on family would be perfect. My sociology textbooks had some very good information in the sex and gender chapters.

I wish you luck :)How can i write a report on whether or not same sex couples should be allowed to marry?
This is an issue that is completely covered by bias, and no matter what you say, there will be disagreements even if the speech is great and your points are undeniably true.

Equality by constitution,

interracial marriage,

religion and civil rights don't mix especially with the history of religion,

homosexuality was only condemned by religion in the 1400s-1500s which is more than 1000 years after the bible was written so the bible can't actually say anything about homosexuality without having been changed and edited.

Hope these help.
The only thing holding back same sex coupled marriages is religion. Maybe explain that relation.

Also, explain how compelling it is for those of same genders whom want to be together, are together, despite public disagreements.
There are 1,049 benefits, rights, and privileges only offered through legal marriage. When a same-sex couple is prevented from legally marrying, they are being denied rights automatically given to others.
equality. we're only denied our basic rights cause of religion, even though we're suppose to be granted the freedom of that, but auase it offedns one religion, we cna't do it. so not fair.
You can use some of the arguments I posted here, if you want.

It will be difficult, even here your clearly going to get biased answers...

Ofcourse I think that gay marriage should be allowed after all we should all have equal rights... and it's not hurting anyone is it?
