How come in relationships unfortunate things happen to couples?

I haven't been in relationship before, but i've seen some of my friends and a lot on TV that when a couple is in a relationship, something happens to the either the boy or girl, most likely the girlfriend dies because of something. Do anyone know why? I don't want to go through anything like that?How come in relationships unfortunate things happen to couples?

Well, TV and other fiction writers do it because watching a happy couple isn't as interesting as being part of one. Conflict drives story, so if there's no plausible way to make a happy couple fight with each other, something else bad has to happen to them.





Of course, the other reason they do it is because bad things do happen in real life, whether you're a part of a couple or not. But if you choose wisely, then you end up with a partner who can help you get through the hard times, or will make you feel better for having known them. It's a risk, but so is everything else.
Nothing, lasts forever. But,You can never experience something if you don't at least try. Even if it does not last, you have the pleasure of having the memory of the experience. That is what life is all about.
I don't think that is a common occurrence.
