How to cook simple healthy meals for newly moved couples?

I just moved out with my boyfriend.

I'm sure that's all I have to so for most women to understand. I'm a terrible cook, and I'm also a health freak. Not a really good combination. I want to learn how to make some mean yummy meals for my boyfriend and I. Can anyone give me some links, or some recipes of your own or just some cooking tips. Maybe some first apartment tips while we are on the subject please. Thank You.How to cook simple healthy meals for newly moved couples?
If you want to learn to cook then you need to go to your local library and check out some books from their cook book section. Books can be better than the Internet as there are often step-by-step directions in them. There are also many cook books that are based on healthy choices such as low-fat, low-carb, vegetarian, easy meals in 30 minutes, 5 ingredient meals, etc. You can google these, too, but it can be a lot of fun to read these books as they often have stories, tips, and pictures to inspire you.

Easy meals can be as simple as grilling burgers, steak, chicken, or fish on the grill, along with fresh vegetables. You can buy fresh organic Romaine lettuce to cut up for fresh salads and add whatever other vegetables that you'd like to add.

You can buy boneless, skinless chicken breasts, on sale for around $2 a pound (watch for sales!), wash and trim any fat, dry with paper towels, then pound each breast with a meat mallet (bought in kitchen wares at store) to about 1/2'; thick all around. This ensures that the meat will cook evenly. Season well with seasoned salt and some garlic, if you like, and grill about 7-10 minutes per side. These can be eaten just as they are or BBQ'd with store-bought sauce right before done.

You can take potatoes, peel, cube in bite-sized pieces, place in heavy duty foil (about 1-2 potatoes in about a 12';x12'; foil), add a bit of butter, some salt, pepper, and parsley,ma bit of onion and green pepper, if you'd like, then wrap up tight. These can cook on the grill about 10 minutes before you start the chicken. These need to cook 20-30 minutes until the potatoes are hot. These are delicious.

You can make many foods from scratch that are so much better for you than any of the over-processed boxed junk at the store. Try to shop the perimeter of the store as much as possible and avoid anything like Betty Crocker boxed food. You are getting a lot of chemicals in these items.

You might also try watching cooking shows on TV, asking your mom or boyfriends's mom, your grandma, a friend, etc, to help you to cook. You could watch them while they cook so you can learn how and what they do. That is how I learned to cook as a child was by watching others cook. You might also take a cooking class at the local Technical school or JVS in theo Adult Education classes that are held at night for like 6 weeks at a time. There are many ways to learn to cook. It should be really helpful in more ways than one. Good luck and have a beautiful future! :)
the perfect healthy snack would be strawberrie dipped bananas or a homemade smoothie like strawberies and bananas with dried frozen fruits
Get a rice cooker and a smallish crock pot. They are my favorite appliances, and you can find a ton of awesome crock pot recipes online. Good luck!

Caramalized Oven Friatta

鈥?8 extra-large eggs

鈥?2 tablespoons heavy cream

鈥?1 cup grated Gruyere cheese

鈥?Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

鈥?1 tablespoon unsalted butter

鈥?1 small onion, diced

鈥?4 small red potatoes, diced

鈥?1 cup diced smoked ham or Canadian bacon

鈥?1 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano, for finishing top

鈥?1/4 cup sour cream

鈥?1 bunch chives, chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, Gruyere cheese, salt, and pepper until foamy. Melt butter in a cast iron pan over medium heat. Add the onion and potatoes and cook thoroughly. Pour the egg mixture over the top. Pull the edges away from the sides of the pan with a spatula so the eggs flow to the bottom of the pan. When the frittata is half set, add the ham.

Transfer the pan to the heated oven. Bake for 10 minutes until puffed and golden. Shower with grated Parmesan and serve garnished with sour cream and chives
