I see a $600 deposit only and we filed jointly and made less than $150,000 but enought to qualify for $1200. Where is the other $600? You think only one was sent out?Will the tax rebate checks be sent out individually for couples?
I think you as well as many others are confused as to who will get $600 or $1200. I think very few people are getting the $1200, i just wish everything was clarified before the this time came.Will the tax rebate checks be sent out individually for couples?
No, it's sent out as one payment, so it sounds like you only qualified for $600 total. Your stimulus payment is based on your net federal income tax for 2007. If your tax was between $600 and $1200 on your joint return, you get back everything you paid. If your tax was less than $600, you get an even better deal, and get $600, even MORE than you paid in. If you paid over $1200 though, your rebate is limited to $1200.
You both got $300 each.

Wait for the letter to explain why you didn't get $1200. Then call the IRS if you feel there is an error.
